Michael Fosnick, the PGA Head Golf Professional at Tacoma Firs, will begin his second year as Pacific Lutheran women's golf head coach after starting in 2009.
Fosnick graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in English. He has worked at Tacoma First since Feb. 2006, overseeing all aspects of golf operations for the club that numbers approximately 400 members. In addition, Fosnick has taught golf classes for several years as part of the Pacific Lutheran University physical education program.
Fosnick has prior collegiate coaching experience, having served as women's golf assistant coach at the University of Puget Sound from 2003-06.
Kris Swanson was named men's golf coach at Pacific Lutheran University for the fall 2009 season and now begins his second season as head coach.
Swanson owns Performance Golf in Tumwater and provides golf lessons to students of all ages and abilities. He also teaches at The First Tee of Olympia. Prior to that, he was an assistant golf professional at Tumwater Valley Municipal Golf Course from 2006-09 and at Olympia Golf & Country Club from 2004-06.
He has collegiate coaching experience, having served as Saint Martin's men's golf head coach during the 2007-08 school year.
Swanson played his collegiate golf at Saint Martin's, graduating from the school in 2005 with a degree in psychology.
Kellen Willis begins his second season as a Pacific Lutheran men's golf assistant coach. A PLU graduate, Willis played basketball and football for the Lutes. He currently works in the Admissions office at Saint Martin's University.
