Lutes Lose Exhibition Contest at Seattle Pacific
SEATTLE - Pacific Lutheran shot just 33 percent for the game in dropping a 72-48 decision to NCAA Division II opponent Seattle Pacific in a men's basketball exhibition game played Friday night in Brougham Pavilion.
As an exhibition, the result doesn't count on either team's record.
The Lutes managed just 19 first half points while shooting 6-for-20 from the floor, and they found themselves in a 35-19 deficit.
Senior guard Drew Earnest was 4-for-5 from beyond the three-point line and led the Lutes in scoring with 15 points. Cameron Schilling was the only other play in double figures with 10 points. Kai Hoyt led the team with five rebounds.
Pacific Lutheran officially opens its season at 6 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 16, when it faces Texas-Dallas at the John McArthur Classic hosted by the University of Puget Sound.
