Livermore Leads Men's Golf to Second-Place Finish
DUPONT - Tim Livermore carded his second consecutive 75 to lead Pacific Lutheran to a second-place finish at the Lutes Invitational which concluded on Sunday at The Home Course.
Linfield won the team title with rounds of 300 and 307 for a two-round total of 607. After shooting 312 on Saturday, PLU came back with a 308 total for a total of 620, good for second place. North Idaho College and Whitworth tied for third at 625, followed by Puget Sound 631, Willamette 642, George Fox 659, and Pacific 684.
Linfield's Alex Fitch earned medalist honors with a two-round total of four-over-par 148 on the par 72, 7,037-yard layout. His teammate, Taylor Klopp, tied Whitworth's Jesse Salzwedel for second place, both with 149s.
Livermore, a freshman from Enumclaw, placed fourth overall, four strokes and one spot better than sophomore teammate Dustin Hegge, who shot 78-76 - 154.
