TACOMA, Wash. - The two-time Northwest Conference Champion Pacific Lutheran University men's golf squad is ranked 25th in the final regular season installment of the Division III Bushnell Golfweek Coaches Poll released on Friday.
The Lutes, fresh off a victory at the 2018 NWC Championships, accumulated 26 points in the poll to rank 25th as the lone conference representative in the rankings. Methodist University sits atop the rankings with 380 points and four first place votes. Huntingdon University is second with 373 points and three first-place nods while the University of Saint Thomas is third with 365 points and six first place endorsements. Emory University is fourth with 357 points and one first place vote. Sixth-ranked Illinois Wesleyan University and seventh-ranked Guilford College received the remaining two first place votes.
PLU will return to action on May 15 for day one of the NCAA Division III Championships. The Lutes qualified after winning the NWC regular season crown after finishing third at the NWC Fall Classic and winning the NWC Spring Classic and the NWC Championships.
