Kostol Heads NSCAA Scholar All-West Region Class

Pacific Lutheran University senior goalkeeper Brian Kostol has been named to the 2010 Scholar All-West Region First Team as announced by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA).

Majoring in business with a concentration in accounting, Kostol has accumulated a 3.54 GPA over his four years at PLU. Away from the field, the goalkeeper is as serious about his studies as he is about keeping the ball out of the back of his net. Recently, Kostol was elected by his peers to be the historian of PLU's accounting club, Beta Alpha Psi. In addition, Kostol is an avid commitee member of PLU's Grad Gift - a program which raises money to create a scholarship for incoming students. After graduation, Kostol plans to become the full-time manager of the local Subway by his childhood residence in beautiful Tigard, Oregon.

Over his four-year career at PLU, Kostol logged over 2,672 minutes for the Lutes. Starting 29 games in his career, he recorded 98 saves after four seasons.
