Back-To-Back Honors For Augustin
For the second consecutive week, senior forward Spencer Augustin has been named Northwest Conference Student-Athlete of the Week for his work on the men's soccer team.
Augustin continued his recent goal-scoring spree with two goals and an assist in Pacific Lutheran University's 4-2 road win against then co-NWC leader Puget Sound. It was PLU's only match of the week, and the win kept the Lutes tied with Whitworth atop the NWC standings. Spencer has 11 goals in 11 matches, putting him atop the NWC in that category and among the national leaders. He has scored seven goals in the last five matches.
Augustin has nearly tripled his goal tally from a year ago (four goals, four assists) when he was hampered by injuries. This weekend, Augustin will face tough defenses when Whitworth and Whitman visit PLU for two important matches.
