Lutes Close California Trip With Loss to Point Loma
SAN DIEGO, Calif. - Pacific Lutheran finished its spring break trip to California with a 1-4 record after dropping an 8-1 decision to NAIA power Point Loma Nazarene on Wednesday afternoon.
Michael Manser and Scott Sheldon picked up the only PLU point at No. 2 doubles with an 8-5 victory over David Jaehnig and Travis Albaugh.
The Lutes, 9-9 for the season, return to action on Friday, April 2, when they host the George Fox Bruins in a Northwest Conference match. Originally scheduled for a 2 p.m. start at PLU, the match will likely be moved to a 6:30 p.m. start at the University of Puget Sound Tennis Pavilion.
