TACOMA, Wash. - The Pacifc Lutheran University men's tennis squad earned a clean sweep during doubles play, besting crosstown rival University of Puget Sound 6-3 on Saturday in the Lutes' home opener at the Sprinker Recreation Center.
"We came out very strong in doubles today and it really set the tone for us," said Head Coach John Cassens. "James Okubo and Niko Convento took the pressure off by winning their singles matches quickly to ensure the win."

John Woelfel and Chan Thourk completed the sweep, escaping with a hard fought 9-7 decision at No. 3.
