TACOMA, Wash. - The Northwest Conference released its postseason award winners for men's tennis on Thursday with Pacific Lutheran University student-athlete Ryan Adams securing Second Team All-NWC along with the league's first ever Freshman of the Year Award.
The Olympia, Washington native earns NWC Freshman of the Year and Second Team All-NWC after leading the Lutes in victories in both singles and doubles play in 2017. Adams opened the season by advancing to the round of 16 at the ITA Northwest Regional and capped the season with 10 victories at No. 1 singles, including seven coming in conference action. The first year earned wins over fellow All-NWC selections Oscar Wight of Pacific University and Tyler Linscott of Linfield College while posting six wins at No. 1 doubles.
PLU wrapped up the season with a 3-13 overall record and a 3-9 mark in NWC action.
