Lutes Compete at Daffodil Regatta

LAKEWOOD - Pacific Lutheran finished second in the men's second varsity four race to highlight its performance Saturday morning at the Daffodil Regatta on American Lake.

Seattle Pacific won the men's second varsity four race with a time of 7:04.98, followed by PLU at 7:17.17.

PLU's next best finish came in the first novice four where the Lutes placed third behind Seattle U. and Lewis & Clark. Seattle's time was 7:22.28, followed by Lewis & Clark at 7:36.28 and PLU at 7:39.23.

Pacific Lutheran placed fourth in the following races: men's varsity eight (6:25.22); women's first novice four (9:05.73); men's first varsity four (7:22.93); women's first varsity four (8:21.16).

"The day went well for us. We had great weather and some solid performances from the novice rowers," said PLU head coach Tone Lawver.
