Mills Beats PLU Women's 8 to Finish Line

LAKEWOOD - Mills College finished more than five seconds ahead of Pacific Lutheran University in a women's varsity 8 race held on Saturday at American Lake.

Mills finished the course in 8:38.46, followed by PLU at 8:44.81. The race was held in slightly choppy water with a slight headwind and fair weather conditions, according to PLU head coach Tone Lawver.

PLU is back in action on Saturday, March 19, when it competes in a scrimmage against host Seattle Pacific University.
