Pacific Lutheran won the NCAA Division III softball championship and as a result team members will be on hand this Sunday, June 10, to throw out the first pitch at the Seattle Mariners' home game against the Los Angeles Dodgers at Safeco Field.
Stacey Hagensen, named the national tournament's Most Outstanding Player after leading the Lutes to the championship in a 3-0 victory over Linfield College, will throw out the first pitch using an official NCAA softball. She will be joined on the field by 14 of her teammates, PLU head coach Erin Van Nostrand, three assistant coaches, two team managers, and new PLU President Thomas Krise and his wife, Patricia.
Game time is 1:10 p.m. for the inter-league game between the Mariners and the Dodgers. The first pitch ceremony will be held just prior to the start of the game. To view a flier containing information about the event, click here.
