Three PLU Players Earn All-Conference Recognition
A trio of Pacific Lutheran women's basketball players has been named to the All-Northwest Conference Women's Basketball Team.
Emily Voorhies (Auburn, Wash. / Auburn HS) earned second team all-conference honors, while Trinity Gibbons (Riddle, Ore. /Riddle HS) and Nikki Scott (Gig Harbor, Wash. / Gig Harbor HS) were selected to the honorable mention list.
Voorhies, a 6-1 senior post, averaged 11.8 points and 7.4 rebounds per game to lead the Lutes in both categories. Gibbons, a 5-8 guard, was a repeat honorable mention pick after averaging 10.1 points, 6.2 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game. Scott, a 5-7 guard, finished the season averaging 7.2 points, 5.2 rebounds and a team-high 3.8 assists per game.
Pacific Lutheran compiled a 14-11 overall record and an 8-8 mark in conference play, good for fifth place.
