Potter Rewarded For Strong Play In Second Season

Samantha Potter (45)
Samantha Potter (45)

Sophomore Samantha Potter has been honored by the Northwest Conference with a selection to the conference's All-NWC second team. This is the second season Potter has been honored by the NWC. Last year, following her first year in the program, Samantha earned honorable mention recognition for her strong play.

Starting all 25 games for the Lutes in 2011-12, Potter averaged 16.8 points per game, ranking her third in the NWC. Her 10.9 rebounds per game were best among all NWC players and ranked 33rd nationally. Averaging more than 10 points and 10 rebounds per game, Potter recorded 14 double-doubles this season, which ranked 15th in the nation.

George Fox University's Keisha Gordon has been named NWC Player of the Year. To view the complete 2012 All-NWC team, click here.
