TACOMA, Wash. - The Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) released its Pocock All-America team for the 2017 season on Tuesday evening with Pacific Lutheran University women's rower Hannah Peterson securing First Team accolades for the second consecutive year.
Peterson was one of nine student-athletes to earn First Team All-American laurels and the lone West Coast rower to be honored on the First Team for NCAA Division III. A member of the Lutes' varsity eight boat, Peterson was a First Team All-Northwest Conference selection, helping the Lutes win the NWC Championship for the second consecutive season. The sophomore was a three-time NWC Crew of the Week award winner while helping the squad capture the Lamberth Cup and finish eighth overall at the 2017 NCAA Division III Championships.
The Pocock All-American team recognizes outstanding performances of rowers and coxswains. Peterson was the program's first ever Pocock Division III All-American last season in her debut campaign with the Lutes. A well rounded student-athlete, Peterson is a member of ROTC and ASPLU and was the lone Division III rower invited to USRowing's Under-23 Selection Camp.
