TACOMA, Wash. -The postseason accolades continue to roll in for members of the Northwest Conference Champion Pacific Lutheran University women's soccer team this week with Machaela Graddy, Hailey Smoot, and Leah Magee all earning United Soccer Coaches All-West Region honors. Graddy was a First Team honoree, Smoot earned a spot on the Second Team while Magee was a Third Team honoree.
A forward from Eatonville, Washington, Graddy earns All-West Region honors for the third consecutive season. The senior and NWC Offensive Player of the Year led the conference in both assists (nine) and points (33) while ranking second in goals with 12. A First Team All-NWC pick, Graddy additionally tallied three game-winning goals for the Lutes (17-3-2, 13-2-1 NWC).
A midfielder from Puyallup, Washington, Smoot lands All-West Region laurels for the third straight year. The senior and First Team All-NWC selection played in all 22 games this season, starting 20 and netting the game-winning goal against Linfield College on Oct. 15.
A forward from Olympia, Washington, Magee secures All-Region accolades for the first time in her career. Magee was a First Team All-NWC honoree, finishing second on the team in both goals (seven) and points (15) while netting four game-winning goals.
The trio were among nine NWC student-athletes to earn a spot on the 39-member All-West Region squad. The Lutes tallied their second consecutive NWC title this fall before advancing to the second round of the NCAA Division III Tournament.
