Lutes Fall to Lewis & Clark in Women's Tennis

PORTLAND, Ore. - Pacific Lutheran came to the Lewis & Clark Tennis Dome on Saturday looking for its first win of the season, but instead the Lutes came up short by a 7-2 score to the host Lewis & Clark Pioneers.

PLU is now 0-9 overall and 0-8 in the conference, while Lewis & Clark improves to 3-7 overall and 2-6 in the NWC.

For the fifth straight match, the Lutes' No. 3 doubles team of Katherine Patton and Allison McClure came out with a win, this time by a 9-8 (8-6) score over Makena McCluskey and Thersa Grigsby.

The other PLU victory came from Catherine Miolla, who beat Elisa Alway at No. 6 singles, 3-6, 7-5, 1-0 (10-5).
