On Nov. 8, Pacific Lutheran University voilleyball stduent-athlete Halle Hetzler was named All-Northwest Conference and the NWC's Libero of the Year.
Halle Hetzler secures All-NWC honors for the second time in her career. The Kailua, Hawaii native was a Second Team All-Conference selection and the NWC Freshman of the Year in 2019. Hetzler secures First Team All-NWC accolades and NWC Libero of the Year this fall after ranking seventh in the nation and leading the conference in digs per set, averaging 6.1 per set.
The junior finished with 20 or more digs in 12 conference matches this fall, including setting a four-set match program record for digs with 47 against Whitworth University. Hetzler additionally was named the NWC Defensive Player of the Week three times this fall, netting the honor on Oct. 25, Oct. 18, and Sept. 20.
This marks the sixth time a Lute has won NWC Libero of the Year honors since the award was established in 2011 and the first since Caylie Shiramizu claimed the honor during the 2018 season.
