East Field

East Field opened to use in August 2012 and served as a host site for the opening two rounds of the NCAA Division III Men's Soccer Championships in 2021.

The all-purpose synthetic turf field and the new grass field to the west of it will serve the athletic, recreational, physical education and wellness needs of the entire community. Men's and women’s soccer programs will use the fields for practice and competition and football will utilize the fields for practice. Club sports, intramurals, academic activity courses and outdoor recreation will all have access to the field.

The long-held dream of multi-purpose athletic fields on lower campus took a major step toward reality in spring 2011 with a gift of $1 million from Wilson Construction and the Don and Kim Wilson family.

Track and Field

During the summer of 2011, the track was resurfaced with an upgraded synthetic surface (ATLAS BSS200) and was re-painted with both college and high school markings in 2022. The hammer/discus cage and sector were relocated to the south end of the track, bringing all throwing events to one location at the south end of the facility. The track features a permanent drainage grate system and aluminum curb on the interior edge, and an outside cement curb edge encircles the exterior and interior edges of the track surface. Pacific Lutheran University hosted the NWC Track and Field Championships at the facility in both 2012 and 2019.
