Kyle Rapacz was the first Lute across the finish line, earning First Team All-Northwest Conference honors and helping PLU win a share of its first NWC title since 1997. Rapacz was one of three Lutes to place in the top 15, traversing the 8,000-meter course in 26 minutes, 23.5 seconds to finish sixth overall.
The Lutes generated 74 points in the team standings, sharing the team title with George Fox University. Whitworth University was a distant third at the nine-team NWC Championships held at McIver State Park, scoring 88 points. It is PLU's 13thNWC title and the first since the 1997 campaign.
