Pacific Lutheran University designated hitter Jacob Bockelie hit three home runs and drove in 11 RBIs over the weekend and on on Feb. 19 was recognized nationally for his exploits, earning a spot on the D3Baseball.com Team of the Week.

Bockelie was one of two Northwest Conference student-athletes to appear on the 13-player Team of the Week, joining George Fox University third basemen Jerred Seamons. The Shoreline, Washington native and reigning NWC Player of the Year finished the week with a .385 batting average and a 1.154 slugging percentage with four of his five base hits going for extra bases. Bockelie was two-for-three with three RBIs in a 9-5 win over Emory University to kick off the weekend on Friday before driving in four runs the following day in a wild 14-10 win over Oglethorpe University. The senior finished off the Georgia road trip with a two-for-five effort in the Lutes' 8-5 setback to Piedmont College, blasting two home runs and driving in four runs.

Bockelie currently leads the NWC in both RBIs (13) and home runs (three) while sitting fourth in the league in walks (six). 

This is the second time in his career Bockelie has been recognized as a member of the D3Baseball Team of the Week, landing the accolade as an outfielder on March 20, 2018.
