Pacific Lutheran University baseball student-athlete Justin Armbruester's performance on the mound has garnered the attention of the rest of the Northwest Conference, earning NWC Pitcher of the Week on Feb. 25.

The Sammamish, Washington native racked up 12 strikeouts and allowed no earned runs, putting in eight innings or work in the Lutes' 3-1 victory over preseason favorite George Fox University to open up the NWC. 

This is the third time in his career Armbruester has won NWC Pitcher of the Week. A Second Team All-NWC selection a season ago, Armbruester was the NWC Pitcher of the Week on March 19 and April 10 during his freshman campaign in 2018.

Armbruester has a team-best 2.33 earned run average with a 2-0 record in his three starts. The righthander has 28 strikeouts in 19 1/3 innings of work and have limited opposing hitters to a paltry .183 batting average.
