A big performance at the plate has earned Pacific Lutheran University baseball student-athlete Jacob Bockelie Northwest Conference Hitter of the Week honors on Monday afternoon.

The Shoreline, Washington native and reigning NWC Player of the Year helped the Lutes (16-8, 8-4 NWC) to a road sweep of NWC rival Linfield College over the weekend. Bockelie finished with a .455 batting average and a .625 on-base percentage with six RBIs and five runs scored. Bockelie had a hit, an RBI, and a run in all three victories over the weekend, racking up four extra base hits, including two home runs. 

This isn't the first award bestowed on the first basemen this season with Bockelie landing a spot on the D3Baseball.com Team of the Week back on Feb. 19.
