The Northwest Conference office released its weekly award winners on Monday, Sept. 9 with Pacific Lutheran University goalkeeper Ashton Huppert securing NWC Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week accolades.

Huppert earns the honor after posting a shutout in her first career start. The Chandler, Arizona native saw her first varsity action of her career on Saturday, collecting five saves in 90 minutes of work, helping the Lutes (2-1-1) down host and previously undefeated University of Redlands, 1-0.
