The Northwest Conference office unveiled its weekly awards on Jan. 20 with Pacific Lutheran University men's basketball student-athlete Leighton Kingma earning Player of the Week accolades.

The senior from Bellingham, Washington wins the honor after averaging 20 points per game and 8.5 rebounds per game, guiding the Lutes (7-8, 3-3 NWC) to a pair of road wins. Kingma shot nine-for-15 from the field against crosstown rival University of Puget Sound on Tuesday, scoring 20 points and securing 13 rebounds in a 75-65 victory. On Friday, Kingma again scored 20 points, canning three treys while grabbing four rebounds and two steals in a 97-70 win over host Willamette University.
