Brandt Kelly scored his first collegiate goal in the 85
th minute, but the Loggers struck just a minute later and hung on for the 2-1 victory.
After a scoreless first 45 minutes, the action picked up in the second half when the Loggers broke the tie in the 61
st minute. Fourteen minutes later, Kelly took a pass from
Dane Helle for the equalizer, but the tie would be short lived as UPS went back on top just a minute later.
The Lutes outshot the Loggers 11-8 and held a 6-4 edge in shots on goal. The visitors also dominated corner kicks at 5-1.

Keeton Heggerness all had a pair of shots for PLU.
With the defeat, PLU fell to 1-2 on the season, while the Loggers improved to 2-1. The Lutes will look to even the weekend series tomorrow when the two teams lock horns again at 1:30 p.m.
