MCMINNVILLE, Oregon – The Pacific Lutheran University softball team dropped a pair of games Saturday against No. 1 Linfield University in Northwest Conference action. Linfield (17-1 overall, 6-0 NWC) won the opener 7-1 and the nightcap 6-0.
In the first game, the Lutes scratched out four hits scoring in the top of the fifth inning.
Rylie Wada pinch hit, singling to center on a 1-2 pitch. She advanced to third on an error and then scored on a double steal.

Chaella Galapon and
Nanea Kalama had the other hits for the Lutes (6-8, 3-3).
Kennedy Robillard allowed two runs on five hits in two innings to take the loss.
In the nightcap,
Casey Wright and Galapon each had a single to lead the offense.
Molly House took the loss in the circle, allowing four runs on eight hits in four innings.
The two teams square off in another doubleheader at 11 a.m. Sunday.
