Men's Basketball: The Lutes (8-4, 3-0 NWC) stand atop the league standings heading into this weekend's clashes with Whitman and Whitworth. Pacific Lutheran remained undefeated at home this season on Saturday, piling on 47 second half points in an 81-62 victory over Willamette University.
 
Seth Hall finished with 22 points, eight rebounds, and five assists while Sean McCurdy and Brandin Riedel added 15 and 12 points, respectively while Jordan Thomas hauled in 11 rebounds.
 
Swimming: Also sitting atop the conference standings is the PLU women's swim team with a 5-0 dual meet record, including a 4-0 mark against NWC foes. That includes winning 23 consecutive dual meets, a streak that stretches back to the 2018-2019 season. PLU smashed Lewis & Clark College 130-56 in its last dual competition back on Nov. 20.
 
The Lute men (0-3-1, 0-3-1 NWC) are back in the pool after over a month layoff. The Lutes earned a rare 91-91 tie against Lewis & Clark on Nov. 20 while Seth Koivisto won two events and the team finished sixth at the Logger Invite on Dec. 5.
 
Track & Field: The Lutes resume the indoor season on Saturday, sending four student-athletes to the UW Preview Meet at Dempsey Indoor in Seattle. 
 
Pole vaulters Lily Luksich, Kristine Nguyen, and Corey Solomon will be competing on Saturday in addition to sprinter Keola Sanchez who will be racing in the 200-meters and 400-meters. The three vaulters have already competed once this season, vaulting at the Spokane Invite in December with Luksich currently owning the 11th best vault in D3 this season.

Women's Basketball: Pacific Lutheran (3-7, 0-3 NWC) traded leads with Willamette on Saturday before ultimately coming up short 63-48 inside Olson Gymnasium. It was a game that saw four lead changes and three ties in the opening half but a 10-0 Bearcat run midway through the contest put the game out of reach for the young Lutes.
 
Maddie Plevyak scored a career-high 12 points while Ava Edmonds added 12 points and five boards.
