TACOMA, Wash. — The Pacific Lutheran University women's volleyball team opened its five-match homestand in style on Friday night, dispatching Northwest Conference rival Linfield University 3-0 (25-14, 25-21, 25-22) inside Olson Gymnasium.

The Lutes (11-8, 6-5 NWC) were dialed in in the three-set sweep, collecting eight aces while
Hailey Iha was deadly accurate with 12 kills on just 15 attacks.Â
"It was a great team victory tonight and Hailey was amazing," said Head Coach
Kevin Aoki.
"That's the type of team play we're looking for. It was also awesome to get some substitutes in the match."

PLU led wire-to-wire in the opening set, charging out to an 8-2 lead and never looked back as an Iha kill gave the Lutes the 25-14 set win.

The visiting Wildcats (8-10, 4-7 NWC)Â led early in the second set but the Lutes were too much down the stretch breaking a 13-13 tie with four consecutive points before another Iha kill clinched the set, this time 25-21 in favor of the home side.

The third set was deadlocked at 19 before the Lutes scored four of the next five, getting a pair of kills from both
Haley Goto and
Sianna Iverson before
Kailee Efros-Bohn clinched the match with a kill of her own, cementing the 25-22 win to secure the match.

Iha finished with a dozen kills with no errors, boasting an .800 attack percentage while
Claire Hindman and
Baylee Johnson both added six kills.
Olivia Evaro had 41 assists on the night while
Halle Hetzler paced PLU with 21 digs with
Makenna Jackson netted eight.Â

The Lutes are back in action tomorrow evening, facing Lewis & Clark College at 6 p.m. inside Olson Gymnasium.Â
