Box Score PORTLAND, Ore. – The Pacific Lutheran men's basketball team picked up a nonconference 78-41 victory against Portland Bible on Wednesday.
The Lutes (3-4 overall) led 38-22 at halftime, before blowing it open in the final 20 minutes.
"We had some specific things we wanted to work on tonight, our offensive execution being one," PLU coach Chad Murray said. "There were some nice spurts where we got the shots we wanted and were able to knock them down after starting off a little slowly from the field.
"The other thing was working in different personnel and we were also able to do that."
Sam Noland led the Lutes with 14 points, while Jackson Reisner had 12, Sean McCurdy had 11 and Jack Williams added seven.
"I thought Mack Hepper did a nice job staying composed and within himself," Murray said. "Sam Noland was also really solid, as was Jackson Reisner in the second half in particular.
"Overall, this was much needed and I'm hopeful this will help us gain some confidence heading into the weekend vs. Northwest."
Official stats were not provided.
The Lutes are back in action at 7 p.m. Saturday at Northwest University in Kirkland.
