TACOMA, Wash. - Michael Campbell and
Hampus Pers Eliasson won their 11th career match as doubles partners to cap off their career at home as the Pacific Lutheran University men's tennis squad fell 8-1 to 16th-ranked and Northwest Conference Champion George Fox University on Saturday at the Sprinker Recreation Center.
Campbell and Pers Eliasson outclassed the Bruins' (14-5, 8-0 NWC) No. 1 doubles tandem of Camden Camacho and Vahag Pashayan by an 8-3 scoreline. It was the Lute (4-7, 2-6 NWC) duo's 11th career win as partners, improving to 6-5 as doubles partners since being reunited this spring.
At the No. 3 position
Alex Richter and
Drew Kraft hung tough but were eventually downed 8-4.
In singles, Campbell fell, 6-2, 7-5, at No. 1 while
Samuel Kwon battled at No. 6, coming up short, 6-3, 6-2.
Saturday was the final home match for seniors
