HILLSBORO, Ore. — Pacific Lutheran University football student-athlete
Darius Chaffin generated six touchdowns in a blowout victory over Lewis & Clark College and on Monday was recognized as the Northwest Conference Offensive Player of the Week.

The Kalihi, Hawaii native completed his first 13 passes of the game while rolling up five passing touchdowns in addition to a rushing touchdown in PLU's 49-14 win over the Pioneers. The quarterback finished the day 17-for-20 with 276 yards while tacking on 63 rushing yards. Over the last two games, Chaffin has thrown for nine TDs, ran for two TDs with no interceptions.

On the season, Chaffin ranks second in the NWC in both passing yards (1,525) and passing touchdowns (16).

This is the third time this fall a Lute has earned NWC weekly honors with
Kalen Davis-White securing NWC Defensive Player of the Week on Sept. 18 and Oct. 9.Â

The Lutes (4-3, 3-1 NWC) hit the road this week, facing George Fox University on Saturday at 4 p.m. in Newberg, Oregon. Â
