HILLSBORO, Ore. — The Northwest Conference office released its weekly award winners on Monday with Pacific Lutheran University linebacker securing NWC Football Defensive Player of the Week honors.
 
The Hilo, Hawaii native registers the award for the second time this fall after leading the Lutes (2-3, 1-2 NWC) in tackles in a 17-10 homecoming victory over Pacific University. Kalen-Davis White finished with 15 tackles, 2 TFLs, a pass break-up, and a hurry, while keeping the Boxers out of the endzone the entire second half. The linebacker limited the prolific Pacific ground game to just 92 yards on the day— 90 yards below the team's season average heading into the game.
 
Davis-White was previously honored as NWC Defensive Player of the Week back on Sept. 18 and on March 16, during the 2021 COVID spring season.
 
Davis-White and the Lutes head to Salem, Oregon this Saturday for a clash with Willamette University. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.
