Complete CSC Academic All-District Team
TACOMA, Wash. — Four members of the Pacific Lutheran University football team were honored for academic success on Tuesday with
Nico Golla,
Jacob Schuh,
Nico Skinner, and
Mason Taylor-Wells all landing College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District honors.
A Puyallup, Washington native and business major,
Nico Golla earns Academic All-District honors for the second consecutive season. The defensive end was a CSC Acaddmic All-American last fall and this year was a D3football.com All-Region honoree. Golla led the Northwest Conference in tackles for loss and ranked 23rd nationally with 16 on the year. He had 7.5 sacks this season, ranking fourth in the NWC and his 30 career sacks ranks fourth on PLU's all-time list.
A Mount Vernon, Washington native and business major,
Jacob Schuh secures Academic All-District for the second year in a row. The running back was a Second Team All-Conference selection after leading the team's ground attack, netting 532 yards and scoring four touchdowns, averaging 4.5 yards per carry. Schuh additionally caught 20 passes for 183 yards and two scores.
A Sumner, Washington native and business major,
Nico Skinner lands Academic All-District laurels for the second time in his career. The offensive lineman was Honorable Mention All-NWC this year, helping the Lutes average 377.2 yards per game, including 154.6 yards per game on the ground.
An Enumclaw, Washington native and biology major,
Mason Taylor-Wells secures Academic All-District for the first time in his career. The linebacker played in nine games this fall and racked up 17 tackles and one fumble recovery.
PLU finished the 2024 season with a 7-3 record and a 5-2 mark in NWC action. It was the Lutes' best record since the 2014 campaign.Â
