"It was a real treat to welcome all the conference schools back to the Meadows Disc Golf Course for the 2025 NWC Championships. I think all of our student athletes were keen to show up and represent on their home course," said Head Coach
Francis Reynolds.
"It was good to have
Sal Mattivi back racing for the Lutes. There was also good pack running amongst the women, with less than 40 seconds separating our second through sixth runner.
Rachel Rosario had a great day and wasn't afraid to go toe to toe with the rest of the conference. I think with better conditions at the Regional championships in two weeks, both teams will have improved results!"
Pacific Lutheran logged a team score of 199, finishing seventh overall at the nine-team meet, owning a 57-point edge on eighth-place Linfield University. George Fox University secured the team title, scoring 41 points while Whitworth University was runner-up with a tally of 61. Pacific University finished third with 72 points followed by University of Puget Sound in fourth (87 points). Whitman College was fifth with 133 points with Lewis & Clark College scoring 150 points to finish sixth.
Emily Foote cruised to the individual title, clocking a time of 22:02.67, enjoying a comfortable 38-second gap on the rest of the field.
The Lutes rest up next weekend and will be back in action on Saturday, Nov. 15, making the trip to southern California for the 2025 NCAA Division III West Region Championships in Claremont.
