2025 Schedule
TACOMA, Wash. — The Pacific Lutheran University football program and Head Coach
Brant McAdams announced the 2025 schedule with the Lutes playing a 10-game slate featuring six home games at Sparks Stadium in Puyallup.
The Lutes kick off the 2025 campaign in southern California on Saturday, September 6, battling California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks. The Lutes open their six game home slate the following weekend against nascent program Simpson University (California) on September 13. The non-league slate concludes the following week with 2024 NCAA Diviison III playoff qualifier and Co-Southern Athletic Association Champion Trinity University (Texas).Â
PLU takes a week off before embarking on Northwest Conference play on October 4 at home against Willamette University. The Lutes make the short trip across town to battle University of Puget Sound for The Trophy on October 11 before returning to Sparks Stadium for home games against Pacific University on October 18 and Defending NWC Champion Linfield University on October 25.Â
The Lutes travel across the Cascades on November 1 for a game against a third NCAA playoff team in Whitworth University before making their lone trip to Oregon on November 8 to play Lewis & Clark College. The regular season concludes on November 15 with the Lutes hosting George Fox University.
"Coming off our best record since I got to PLU, we're very excited for the 2025 season," said Head Coach
Brant McAdams who enters his eighth season this fall.
"We've graduated seven classes that have worked hard to leave the program better than they found it and this senior class is looking to cash in on all those deposits."
All games with the exception of Trinity will be 1 p.m. kickoffs. The game against Trinity will kickoff at noon.Â
This marks the fourth consecutive year the Lutes will play a full 10-game slate with eight of those games taking place inside the Evergreen State. Seven will be played in Pierce County with six, the most since 2000, being played at home.Â
"We're grateful to get six home games this season as well. It's a unique byproduct of PLU's commitment to play a 10-game regular season schedule without repeating opponents. We made that commitment in 2022 and our players have enjoyed the elevated competitive experience since."
Lute fans have plenty to be excited about as the squad finished the 2024 campaign with a 7-3 record and a 5-2 mark in league play, the squad's best season since the 2014 season.
