Jamrok Rocks First Career NWC Weekly Honor

Official NWC Release

HILLSBORO, Ore. — Pacific Lutheran University goalkeeper Chris Jamrok finished the weekend with 10 saves and on Monday was recognized by the Northwest Conference, securing the NWC's Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week Award.

The Hollister, California native made two saves in his Lute home debut on Friday against Wheaton College before stopping eight shots and earning the win in a 2-1 victory over his former team— University of California-Santa Cruz– on Sunday afternoon. The senior finished the weekend by logging 180 minutes in goal and boasting a 0.727 save percentage.

Jamrok becomes the first Lute to win NWC Player of the Week honors this fall. Jamrok and the two-time defending NWC Champion Lutes (1-3) will take a well-deserved break this weekend before opening up conference play on Sept. 20, hosting George Fox University.
