TACOMA, Wash. — The Pacific Lutheran University women's lacrosse team fell 22-3 to Lewis & Clark in a Northwest Conference matchup Saturday afternoon.
PLU dropped to 3-9 overall and 1-3 in conference play, while Lewis & Clark improved to 9-4 overall and 3-0 in the NWC.
"It's great to see the progress that we have made this year as individuals and as a team," Head Coach Melanie Rizzotti noted. "Kassie had a great day in cage and we continue to move the needle inn how we are competing."
The River Otters opened the game with seven straight goals in the first quarter. Peyton Terhar put the Lutes on the board to cut the deficit to six.
Katrina Moran answered another Lewis & Clark run in the second quarter, making it 12-2. Issabella Marchio scored PLU's final goal late in the fourth quarter off an assist from Gracie Cecka.
Taylee Alldredge led the midfield with three ground balls and two caused turnovers, while Paige Hackman recorded five draw controls.
Kassie Diller played all 60 minutes in cage, finishing with 15 saves.
Pacific Lutheran returns to action Friday against Pacific University. Opening draw is set for 5 p.m.
