SPOKANE, Wash. — Kassie Diller collected her 300th career save on Sunday to close the regular season for the Pacific Lutheran University women's lacrosse team as the Lutes closed out a record setting second season as a program with a 23-4 setback against Northwest Conference rival Whitworth University.
Diller turned away eight shots on the afternoon, finishing the day with 307 career saves. The junior goalkeeper has played every minute of every game between the posts over the past two seasons.
"We've made some major strides in the way in which we compete and play Lute lacrosse. This season highlighted our team offense style of play and the grit we have in the midfield. I'm super proud of team 002 and all we accomplished this year and can't wait to continue the work with team 003," said Head Coach
Melanie Rizzotti.
The Lutes struck first on Sunday with
Gracie Cecka scoring just 54 seconds into the game off a pass from
Issabella Marchio. It was Cecka's third tally of the 2026 campaign.
