Softball: The 21st-ranked Lutes (32-8, 24-4 NWC) closed the regular season on a six game win streak, locking up the NWC title and the No. 1 seed for this weekend's double elimination NWC Tournament.Â
The Lutes rolled to the title, the program's first since 2003, after a four-game road sweep of Whitworth University. PLU stomped the hosts 15-0 and 6-0 on Saturday before returning on Sunday to secure 4-1 and 12-0 victories.
Paige Wilson tossed a pair of shutouts and on Monday was named the NWC Pitcher of the Week for the fourth consecutive week.Â
Paola Garcia etched her name in the record books on Sunday, setting school single season records for both RBIs and total bases and is within striking distance of school single season marks for hits, runs scored, and home runs.

Women's Track & Field: Pacific Lutheran tallied a pair of champions over the weekend, finishing sixth as a team at the 2026 NWC Championships in Spokane, Washington.
Ki Neir became the first Lute to win an NWC title in the pole vault, soaring over 12 feet, 0 ¾ inches on Saturday while the following day
Madison Downey won her second title in the triple jump and PLU's third straight with a winning leap of 37' 6 ½". Downey also won the conference title in 2024 with teammate
Kyleigh Archer claiming the crown in 2025.
On the track, the Lute 4x100-meter relay team placed third overall in 48.18 while
Abi Caprye was fifth in the 100-meter hurdles in 15.33.Â

Men's Track & Field: The Lutes had a trio of fourth place finishes in the field events, placing eighth as a team at the 2026 NWC Championships. Â
Day one on Saturday saw
Bridger Hanis clear 6' 3 ¼" in the high jump to take fourth while
Micah Ragaza-Bourassa had the same podium finish in the hammer throw (170' 3"). ON Saturday,
Hunter Kleindl vaulted 13' 10 ½" to place fourth in the pole vault while on the track,
Tyger Willingham was sixth in the 100-meter dash (11.14).Â
Women's Rowing: The Lutes' varsity eight and second varsity eight boats both qualified for Sunday's Grand Finals at the 2026 Western Intercollegiate Rowing Association Championships on Lake Natoma in northern California.
PLU's 2V8+ had its best race of the season on Sunday, charging down the 2,000-meter course in 7:59.87 to place fifth overall while the 1V8+ was sixth in its race, finishing in 7:08.048.
The Lutes will race one final time on Saturday with the 1V8+ participating at the Windermere Cup/Opening Day races in Seattle through the Montlake Cut.
Baseball: Pacific Lutheran (12-22, 9-12 NWC) enters the weekend in control of its postseason destiny, needing to sweep the crosstown Loggers to snag the fourth and final spot in the NWC Tournament.
PLU earned a doubleheader split on Saturday in Walla Walla, stumbling 10-8 in the opener before rebounding with a 9-6 victory in game two over Whitman College. The Lutes weren't so lucky on Sunday, surrendering leads in a 12-6 setback to close the NWC series and falling 7-6 in a non-conference game with the Blues to conclude the weekend.
Ethan Keintz heads into the final weekend of the regular season with a team-best .348 batting average while
Carson Burke brings the lumber with 20 extra base hits, eight home runs, and 32 RBIs.

Matthew Sherwood is the workhorse with 64 strikeouts in 60 1/3 innings of action.Â
Women's Lacrosse: The Lutes (3-13, 1-7 NWC) closed out season two as a varsity program over the weekend against the Whits. PLU fell 21-1 on Saturday to host Whitman before closing the year with a 23-4 setback at the hands of host Whitworth University.
Kassie Diller made her milestone 300th save and for the second consecutive year played every minute of every game in goal for the Lutes.Â
PLU's second season was one for the record books, establishing new single season records in goals (69), assists (26), points (95), shots (213), ground balls (322), draw controls (157), and caused turnovers (158), while capturing the program's first ever road win and NWC win.Â
