Biography

2022: Competed in the NWC championships in the 100y breast (56.65 2nd place), 200y breast (2:06.01 3rd place), and the 200y IM (1:55.86 7th place). Finished 4th in the 200y freestyle relay for the Lutes as well. Earned two first team all-conference honors and one second team all conference honors based off finishes at the NWC championship.

2021: Won six races for the Lutes while also placing second in nine more races. Had a season fast time of 52.91 in the 100 yard IM against UPS and a season fast time of 57.63 in the 100 yard breaststroke against Whitman.

2019-2020: Earned First Team All-NWC in the 100 and 200 breast. Competed at NWC championships in the 200 IM, 100 breast, and 200 breast, and the 200 medley, 400 medley, 200 free, and 400 free relays. Placed 3rd in the 100 breast (57.30) and the 200 breast (2:06.71). Broke school records in 200 medley and 400 free relays.

2018-2019: Earned Second Team All-NWC in the 200 IM, 100 breast, and 200 breast. Competed at the NWC Championships in the 200 breast, 50 breast, 100 breast, and the 200 IM. At the NWC Championships finished 7th in the 200 breast, 6th in the 100 breast, and 6th in the 200 IM.

2017-2018: Competed at the NWC Championships in the 100 and 200 breaststroke. Finished 13th in the 100 breast (1:00.34) and 16th in the 200 breast (2:16.37). 

High School: Was a four-year letterwinner, earning MVP honors twice, while serving as team captain for one season. Finished second at the state meet in the 200 free relay, fifth in the 100 breast and set a school record in the 200 IM as a senior, helping Steilacoom place runner-up at the state meet. Finished sixth in the 100 breast and ninth in the 200 IM as a junior at state, helping the team finish fifth overall. Was a state qualifier as a sophomore in the 500 free, helping team place fifth at state.

Personal: Born on August 31, 1999 to parents Lesli and Eric. Is a brother to Zach, Hannah, and Jackson. Plans on enrolling in the 3-2 engineering program. Plans on becoming an aerospace engineer. Chose PLU because "the excellent academics, great coaching staff and team, and the ability to stay close to home." Involved with Tacoma Rescue Mission and JBLM Special Olympics. Hobbies include snowboarding and watching football. Spent nine years living in Japan.
