2018: Appeared in all nine games for the Lutes. Recorded 20 tackles and 1 fumble recovery. Had a season high 7 tackles against Whitworth.

2017: Missed the 2017 season due to Injury. Off the field, Barnett is a co-host of H&C Sports, a sports talk radio program ran through PLU student media’s Lute Air Student Radio. Barnett also works in the PLU sports information office as an assistant. Is currently working on his master's degree in business.

2016: Appeared in all nine games for the Lutes.

2015: Appeared in one game for the Lutes.

High School: Earned All-Narrows League honors as a senior while also serving as team captain. Helped Olympia qualify for the state tournament as a sophomore and senior. Also played baseball, serving as team captain for one year and earning First Team All-League accolades.

Personal: Born on September 20, 1996. Both parents played sports at PLU. Father Chad played football at PLU, and mother Carolyn, played soccer and softball at PLU. Father was captain and All-American on the NAIA Division II National Championship football team in 1993 and still holds career records for scoring and touchdowns. Carson chose to follow in his fathers footsteps by attending PLU. Brother to Cody and Callie. Hopes of going into medical sales. Is active in his community, doing volunteer work with the football team at Lister Elementary. Also a member of Young Life and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Enjoys traveling.
