Biography

2023:

- Whitworth Invitational recorded an 8th place finish in Shot Put at 11.99m.
-  Ed Boitano Invitational recorded a 1st place finish in Javelin at 46.27m.
- PLU Open recorded a 1st place finish in Javelin at 45.18m and a 4th place finish in Discus at 36.80m.
- Willamette Invitational recorded a 1st place finish in Javelin at 45.65m.
- Pacific Open recorded a 1st place finish in Javelin at 43.35m and a 9th place finish in Shot Put at 10.95m.
- Northwest Conference Championships recorded a 7th place finish in Shot Put at 11.51m and a 2nd place finish in Javelin at 42.66m.
- Oregon Twilight recorded a 6th place finish in Javelin at 44.07m.

2022: Won the NCAA title in the javelin while earning All-American accolades for the third time in her career. Was the West Region Field Athlete of the Year and the NWC Field Athlete of the Year. Won the NWC title for the third consecutive year. 

2021: Won the NWC title in the javelin and placed seventh at the NCAA Division III Championships, earning All-American accolades. 

2020: Was a member of the PLU Women’s Track and Field Team.

2019: Won the NWC title in the javelin and placed seventh at the NCAA Division III Championships, earning All-American accolades. Won conference title with a throw of 146' 5" a mark that ranked second all-time in program history. In addition to winning the NWC title, won the javelin at three other meets during the outdoor season.

Also a member of the PLU volleyball team

High School: At Mossyrock High School, she was a four-year letterwinner, spending two years as team captain while winning the team’s Most Valuable Player award once. As a senior, earned first team all-state and was all-area co-MVP. As a junior, she earned first team all-league, all-state and was a member of the all-area team. As a sophomore, she earned first team all-league honors. In her first year, she earned second team all-league honors. Away from the court, she volunteers as a youth volleyball and basketball coach.

Personal: Daughter of Jesse and Alexandria Nelson and is a sister to Andee, Warren and Jack.
