2019: Appeared in 18 games for the Lutes. Pitched a total of 28 innings and accumulated an ERA of 9.21. Struck out 23 batters on the season. Threw a season-high 4.1 innings against Linfield on March 23. Had a season-high 5 strikeouts against UPS on February 26.
High School: At Kentwood High School, Franceschina earned four varsity letters. As a senior, led the team in hitting. As a junior and sophomore, earned second team all-league honors. Team finished second in state his sophomore year. Away from the diamond, he volunteers with Northwest Harvest and Little League tryouts.
Major: Plans on majoring in business with hopes of becoming an accountant. “I chose to attend PLU because I know that the education will prepare me for the future.”
Personal: Son of Doug and Lindsey Franceschina and is a brother to Nathan.
