George Crace

George Crace joined the PLU football staff in the spring of 2018 the tight ends coach and brings with him a wealth of experience, serving for 34 years as a high school head coach and eight more years as an assistant at the college and prep level. His decorated coaching career includes winning a 3A state title in Oregon while earning multiple Coach of the Year honors.

Crace comes to PLU after spending the previous 12 years as the Head Coach at Horizon Christian High School in Tualatin, Oregon, a program he started from scratch when he arrived. Prior to Horizon Christian, Crace spent 11 seasons at Wilsonville High School (Oregon) taking over a brand new program and leading the Wildcats to a 3A State Championship in 2004, finishing the season 13-0. Crace additionally led the Wildcats to a runner-up finish during the 2003 season. Before Wilsonville, Crace served as Head Coach at West Linn High School (Oregon) for nine years. 

No stranger to the Northwest Conference, Crace served as the passing game coordinator for two seasons at Willamette University. Prior to Willamette, Crace had stints at David Douglas High School in Portland, Oregon, Sunnyvale High School (California), and Lynbrook High School in Cupertino, California.

Crace was the NFHS Northwest Regional Football Coach of the Year in 2015 and was the Oregon 3A Coach of the Year in 2004. He was named Tri-Valley Coach of the Year in 2003 and 2004 and the Three Rivers League Coach of the Year in 1992.

Crace earned a bachelors degree from Harvard University where he graduated Cum Laude and received a master's degree from Stanford University.
