Biography
2023: Appeared and started in 36 games for the Lutes. Hit .356 with 33 RBI’s, 33 runs scored, and a team-leading 10 home runs. Broke the PLU career home run record with 27 career home runs. On the mound pitched 28 strikeouts in 51 innings pitched. In the field had 183 putouts and five assists. Earned First Team All-Conference.
2022: Appeared in and started 40 games for the Lutes. Hit .333 with 37 RBI's, 24 runs scored, and seven home runs. On the mound for 53 innings pitched had 31 strikeouts and a 6.62 ERA. In the field had 218 putouts and 16 assists. Received all-conference honorable mention at the end of the season.
2021: Appeared and started in 42 games for the Lutes this season. Hit .367 with 10 home runs and a team leading 54 RBI's. Also drew a team high 23 walks. In the field let the team with 203 putouts and had 21 assists. Made 11 starts on the mound pitching a team high 62.1 innings. Had two complete games, 38 strikeouts and a 3.75 ERA leading to a 6-1 record. Was named NWC player of the week once during the season and at the end of the season was named first team all-conference.
High School: Was a three-year letterwinner for the Conquerors. Was First Team All-Conference as a first basemen as a senior. First Team All-Conference as a DH and Honorable Mention as a pitcher as a junior, helping the team finish fourth at state. Helped the Conquerors place runner-up at state as a sophomore. Played at Safeco Field five times in high school.
Personal: Is the son of Jason Trotignon and Brooke Vasquez. Is a volunteer coach at a baseball facility. Hobbies include fishing, hiking, and traveling. Plans on working in law enforcement.
