Pacific Lutheran University Athletics

2025: Competed in five meets for the Lutes. Clocked a season-best 30:37.8 in the 8K at the George Oja Invitational and was 78th overall at the NWC Championships hosted by PLU. 

High School: Competed in both cross country and track & field for the Thunderbirds, winning four varsity letters. Was team captain for two seasons on the cross country team and was long distance team captain for the track team for two seasons. 

Personal: Parents are Brandie McPherson and Jon Rigney. Has one sibling: Tyler. Hobbies include video games, TV, running, exploring, and hanging out with friends. In high school was named AVID Student of the Year and History/Social Studies Student of the Year. Plans on becoming a high school English literature teacher.
