Joan Park joined the PLU coaching staff prior to the 2023 cross country season.

A Lute alum, Park earned All-Conference and All-Region honors in both 2021 and 2022 on the cross country team while on the track, finishing runner-up in the 3,000-meter steeplechase in 2022 and fourth in 2023 at the NWC Championships while placing fifth in 2022 and sixth in 2023 in the 5,000-meters. 

Park was a member of Student-Athlete Advisory Committee while at PLU and earned Chi Alpha Sigma honors. Park graduated in May of 2022 with a degree in nursing.
