Eddie Abellar joined the PLU golf program prior to the 2023-2024 season and was elevated to Co-Interim Head Coach during the spring of 2024.
 
With over 20 years of golf exeprience, Abellar played collegiately for both Bellevue College and the University of Hawaii-Hilo before earning his degree from Washington State University. While at Bellevue, Abellar won the Centralia Invitational and placed 13^th at the 2016 NWAC Championships. 
 
Abellar is the assistant pro for the McCormick Woods Golf Course in Port Orchard.
