Pacific Lutheran University Athletics

2026: Competed in eight meets for the Lutes. Clocked season-best times of 4:53.48 in the 1,500-meters, 11:07.33 in the indoor 3,000-meters, and 18:16.60 in the 5,000-meters. 

High School: Competed in both cross country and track & field for the Thunderbirds, winning four varsity letters. Was team captain for two seasons on the cross country team and was long distance team captain for the track team for two seasons. 

Personal: Parents are Brandie McPherson and Jon Rigney. Has one sibling: Tyler. Hobbies include video games, TV, running, exploring, and hanging out with friends. In high school was named AVID Student of the Year and History/Social Studies Student of the Year. Plans on becoming a high school English literature teacher.
